Don’t worry, the next week the entire store layout was changed again and cake decorations ended up by tinned goods. probably. no one is really sure.

Ash is checking through items on the shelf in front of him, scanning from left to right in increasing levels of confusion.
Ash: Erm... umm... where...? Sugar... ummm.. flour, eggs... cake mix?
He looks so ashamed and embarrassed when he turns back to the customer. Directly above him is a well highlighted box of cake icing tubes.
Ash: I... I'm sorry but I... I can't seem to find any! I don't know where to look! Perhaps we are out of stock or-
The customer leans over Ash's head and grabs the box of cake decorations that were hiding in plain sight above him. She beams with the friendliest and sincere smile.
Customer Diana: Found it! This is just what I was looking for! Thank you! You've been a big help!
Ash is left standing in even more confusion as he didn't really do anything but try his best.
