Choose your own adventure: it’s a bad idea as

  • you’d be spending more time cleaning everything again after the explosion
  • you straight up acknowledge you’ll get in trouble for it and the customer won’t
  • it’d be better to confront the customer head on with confidence (and probably with a manager)
  • it’s a waste of a can of fizzy that could be enjoyed instead

Darrell: Maybe tell him to go away if he won't listen?
Ash grabs the handset from nearby and looks alarmed.

Ash: I can't say that! That'd be rude!
Darrell: Even though he's rude to you?
Ash: Doesn't mean I should tell him to go away!

Darrell and Ash look forlorn.
Darrell: Well yeah- he's just gonna keep getting what he wants and we gotta put up with it!

Darrell then springs into life, his eyes wide under his glasses and his cheeky grin erupting in mischief.
Darrell: UNLESS we BOOBY TRAP the drawers or something! I can shake up a can of cola so when he opens the drawer, it pulls the lids and-

Darrell daydreams the elderly customer opening the drawer to the storage, but a secret shaken up can is taped underneath with a length of string attached to the ring pull. By opening the drawer, the ring pull is opened by the string and the customer is sprayed; fizzy drink flying absolutely everywhere in the process.

Ash: NO! That will make everything worse!

Darrell grabs the handset from Ash and his expression drops.
Darrell: Then you're on your own.
