It maybe isn’t bad life advice in a grander scheme: Do the important basics first that people need first then build up what people want later on.

I know you can argue that you don’t “need” cake but just let me have this little nice brain thought to ponder on for now UwU

It is ten past eight in the morning and Flori is now serving customers. She is smiling and polite, with customers chatting to her throughout.

Ash is kneeling down in a chiller picking out boxes behind Flori, passing her chilled products as she serves.
He thinks to himself "She's certainly lightened up now we've set up! And not a moment to spare!"
Ash looks to Flori as she approaches to grab a box.
"Wow, we only opened at eight and these eclairs are flying out! Here's another box.
Flori grabs the box and approaches a customer, who chirps cheerfully about the offer on the eclairs.

Ash takes a breath, thinking: "I feel like I've done more in this one hour then any single evening shift!"

Looking back to Ash as she grabs another box, she states: "We often have this short burst after opening. People often pick up lunch or snacks on the way to work.
Having bread, cakes and any eclairs out first is a priority, Now we've stelled, I'll head up to do the ordering. Then take my break. I trust you will be okay on your own?"
