There was no need for that tone of voice. Wonder where he picked that up from?

Also yes, management did not ask how Tina or Alexis’ weekends/evenings were. Funny that. Too much business to do I guess

English language note: “Hon” is shorthand for “honey” and is usued typically as a term of endearment. “Min” is shorthand for “minute” as in  the measurement of time.

A wry smile stretches on Kevin's face through his strained bravado.
"We had both better get to work, so some of us can afford more nights out again!"
Hugh and Kevin burst into a laugh.

Hugh walks away from the counters, just as Damian qordlessly leaves too. Kevin spots Damian.
"Aren't you on your upstairs too, Damian? You start soon, don't you?"
Damian turns to him, unable to force a cheerful fake smile and instead looks far too stern/ "I was on my upstairs until you started talking to me!"

Kevin walks past him and glares back equally as sternly. "Alright! Don't let me interupt you too."
Damian cluthces his bag and slightly panics over his misjudged tone of voice. A concerned Tina calls to him "Hold a min, hon. You alright, Damian?"

He turns to the timid Damian
Kevin: You heading up, Damian?

Damian, now fed up of being ignored, retorts.
Damian: I was on my way upstairs until you started talking to me!
His thoughts dance in the background, snapping "Talking AT me more like cause it's not like you were listening to me

Kevin's playful tone immediately drops.
Kevin: Alright!
Kevin: Ah, well I’d love to stay and regale stories from last night but I’m being torn away!
Damian looks dejected as Kevin gestures to him
Kevin: You heading up Damian?
Damian replies in a deadpan manner
Damian: I was on my way upstairs until you started talking to me!
Kevin looks irritated at the rude reply
Kevin: Alright(!)
