Day staff must also know how much is being thrown away but then we remember – it’s not always food. There’s plastic tubs, cardboard boxes, plastic wrapping, tape, plastic ties…. you get the picture. Stack all that on top of a previous evening’s rubbish pile and it builds up fast!

The amount of rubbish that gets generated from product deliveries is as terrible as the issue of food waste. But that’s something the working staff cannot change for too many interconnected reasons I am not gonna mention here cause there’s are better people out there who can explain that then me with stats and facts and stuff about food supply and production.

Damian shifts the weight in his arms as he addresses the others.
Damian: We did have a lot to clean up after the amount we had to throw out...

Alexis immediately responds with an stern yet disappointed glance as Tina nods in agreement.
Alexis: We don’t mind, it just would be nice to leave a note for when we come in.

Damian's thoughts cry out "Yeah there we go, ignore what I said - gahhhh."

Tina is trying to get past the overloaded Damian as he is juggling his tower of bin bags between both the Meat and Deli counters.
Tina: S’cuse me, just wanna scoot ‘round to clean the glass.
