Big shout out to the peeps who helped me brainstorm this page forever ago 😘

I admit, I have a LOT of thoughts and opinions that I’ve held on since i worked retail back in the 2010s that I just cannot shift. But it just keeps being brought up in UK media and conversations about why we should or should not close down certain long standing retail features etc etc I had this debate a LOT back at the old job with my coworkers and it stuck with me.

Damian and Alexis spend the entire page in almost a dance around the arguement.

Alexis: In my opinion, there's no need to write down small requests if had enough stock in the first place.
Damian: Though if it's a a problem they can always buy stuff from the chilled section, right?
Alexis: Yes though customers may want more or less than what's offered on prepacked and it's good service to offer that they need!

Damian: Surely they can freeze any leftovers?
Alexis: Not everyone has a big enough freezer to do that.
Damian: Prepacked has a longer shelf life for that?

Alexis: Not everyone wants to pay extra for more they won't use!
Damian: It's more expensive per kilo on the counters anyway!
Alexis: Better value if you don't waste it!
