Keep it professional Ash, jeeze, you cannot be nice to coworkers. Both of them are right though imo. you can show compassion to coworkers but some people don’t want the fuss so it’s another one of life’s “test the water” situations. idk at least from what I’ve experienced.

Damian grimaces as he realises the distress in Ash's voice. "Sorry man, I'm just a little grouchy, I guess."
Ash: understandable!
Damian plays with his fringe as small self loathing thoughts permiate his thoughts. "It's been a long day and I just don't need any more stuff going wrong....You've just come in and I've snapped at you, which isn't fair on you."
He tugs at his ponytail. "I've not even asked how you're doing?! I keep doing it! Argh."
Ash closes in the gap between them. "It's ok, it's ok! We've got all night to talk! Umm... do you need a hug?"
Damian flips out uncomfortably. "I couldn't ask that of a coworker! I'll be fine! Just need a breather for a sec- wait"
Damian looks behind him to see someone lurking in the enclosed space between the deli counter where Ash is stoo and patissierie on the far end. He points towards the figure and announces HEY!!
