Well that’s a memorable entrance of you Mr Masterton…

I chose the name Masterton cause he’d fancy himself a Master and I wanted a harsh T sound over the more common “Masterson” version.
Hindsight? people seem to say Masterson more but oh well too late now. The name Kevin has it’s own long history but that’s not for today’s history lesson.

*For those who may not know, “a min” is shorthand for “a minute.”

*Cheers! also meaning in Britishisms along the lines of a pleasant parting word between people as well as overall “good wishes.”

The receptionist is on the phone
Receptionist (Matilda): Hi Kevin, it's Matilda.

Speech bubbles come through the phone from the other speaker, Kevin.
Kevin: Hello! How are you?
Matilda: I'm ok, I'm-
Kevin immediately interupts joyfully.
Kevin: OH GOOD! So what do you need from me this fine evening?
Matilda's gaze hardens behind her glasses as she moves the phone away from her ear at the shrillness from Kevin bursts from the phone.
Matilda: YYes, ok . You have an "Ash Brown" waiting here at the desk for you. Want me to send him up to the dining room?

The page opens up to the red headed manager striding confidently through the aisles, illuminated by lens flares and overly bright sterile store lighting.
His hair is smoothed back on his right side allowing for a flamboyant fringe on the other, hiding one of his earrings and accenting his calmly confident smile framed by his small patch of "soul patch" style facial hair.
The purple blue suit, white shirt and red tie combination makes him appear softer to us now then he did in the shadows previously. He is still wearing gloves although his sleeves are rolled up casually showing off his toned forearms, exuding both work professionalism and strong personal charm.

This is Kevin Masterton, the Food Service manager.
Kevin turns off his phone with a short blip. "No need. I'll be down in a min! Cheers!

Matilda thinks to herself as she watches the young Ash looks green with nerves: Hope so, cause he looks like he's gonna pass out!
