WELCOME BACK! This is page 1 of today’s 3 page mega update!
I remember having these conversations with each new crop of newbies as they would be amazed at how people were choosing to go bargain hunting every Friday/Saturday, sometimes every single evening. Especially over holidays. But what they didn’t always see (as they were on the other side of the store away from the bargain bins) was that for many of them it was a daily meeting place of sorts.
I suppose it could be frustrating knowing you wanted to be with friends but couldn’t yet these people are choosing a supermarket to be their social hotspot.

Fun fact, back in, I think 2019, the artist behind Love and War, Malverav, joked that she is the type who would be grabbing reduced baguettes late at night at a supermarket, to which “Emma will remember this.”
I lost the screenshot of the conversation cause the discord server it happened on was closed down but I did indeed remember….
CJ: Yeah I know. being an adult blah blah. I just don't want to be here.
Ash: But we both need to be though. Especially if we both wanna leave this boring town.
Also do you think they want to be here every night?
[Back at the reductions bin there's a few customers chatting happily to each other, clearly friendly and know who they all are. Whereas the previous group where struggling for the cream of the crop from the first set of reductions, this selection seem to just be in the area at the same time.]
CJ: Yeah, maybe they do(!)
[CJ raises her nose to Ash, leaving Ash gobsmacked]
Ash: THAT's what's bugging you?!
CJ: yes I - THEY don't NEED to be here!
[CJ looks clearly like she is frustrated with how the evening is playing out]
