I posted this on the first version of the comic back in 2020 (that long ago oh my gosh) and I still wholeheartedly mean it:

Ash mooches past the deli counter from the outside door and passes CJ, where they both exchange a muted “Hey.”
CJ starts to leave the counter and follow Ash, asking “How’s it going?”
Ash looks back slightly as he continues to the patisseries counter nearby, past where the deli counter and a row of shelving. “SLOW. You?”
Ash enters behind the counter and Cj follows to the front. “Same old. Sooooo....Did anything interesting in the week?”
Ash washes his hands. “Depends on your definition of interesting?”
The scenes pans out to show an empty bread and cake section, with a wet floor sign sat in the foreground framing the quiet area. “Endulge me. s'up?”
Ash chats to CJ. “Nothing much different to last week, to be honest. Been here or keeping busy with family chores at the mo.At least until i find something else to do.”
They both exchange a quiet “Yeah…”
