Tina: How are you both today?
Male elderly customer: We’re good- we’re doing well!
As Alexis starts to lean onto the meat counter to get their order, she has a flash of thought to engage in some small talk.
Alexis: Getting really chilly out there now isn’t it?
Female elderly customer cheerfully retorts "Well, my dear, that’s November for you!" as her husband agrees with a "Yup!"
He continues "It’s not as cold as it used to be back in my day - I’m more tired of the rain more than anything. Makes me joints ache!"
His elongated hands are weathered with years of use, his joints bulbous and his skin stretched thin, but his wedding ring shines as new on his wedding finger. He shakes slightly with the chill and yet is still jovial.

Tina: Is it raining out there now? It was just a lil’ damp when we got in.
Male elderly customer taps the umbrella in his other hand: Absolute buckets! I had to get my umbrella out from the cupboard this morning!

Damian looks up from his task but does not look at the others. He ponders to himself: Complaint about the weather, check.
