Ash pauses. "Well, I, n-nothing I suppose..."
CJ leans close from the pther side of the counter, pretending to be an angel. "Do you... wanna get into it? I promise I won't be a bitch about it, i swear."
Ash backs away with his phone. "...thanks?"
An awkward silence lingers for a second whilst Ash gathers his forms.
"No boyfriend. It's like what you said earlier. it's my schoolmates- well- guess I can't call them schoolmates if we aren't in school, but- they all went out tonight on a pub crawl I was invited to - but..."
CJ leans against the counter glass, the section being still devoid of customers but the two of them. "You're here."
The section is stil lempty of people, showing how static the situation is. "Yeah, so I kinda wanna keep checking the chat to feel included but I probably shouldn't...."
"Sounds like you miss 'em."
"I still shouldn't have my phone on though."
CJ points to him. "You still hung up on that? Who cares? You tryin' to justify feelin' bad for missing your mates?"
"W-well I erm..."
Cj cuts through Ash's stuttering, "Why can't you go to it later?"
Ash looks to his phone. "Yeah. I could go after work I suppose. It's only in town... but I dunno."
